Investigation of creep properties of metals in general, optimal creep testing and creep fracture testing for lifespan prediction.
The "creep test and creep rupture test" continuously apply a low tensile force below the yield point (strength) to a specimen at a constant high temperature, measuring strain and rupture time to evaluate material properties.
Tests that measure strain are called creep tests, while those that do not measure strain are referred to as creep rupture tests. By parameterizing the deformation behavior, it is possible to predict the creep rupture life.
